Overview
What does creativity look like in our youngest citizens? How do we establish learning spaces that promote and enhance attributes of creativity? This workshop offers practice defining, identifying, and fostering creativity with young children. Topics include creativity in curriculum, partnering with families, and fostering social emotional learning.

Objective

Upon completion, learner will be able to:

  • Design experiences to engage in play through an adult lens.
  • Participants will identify and describe creativity within play by reflecting on content from video module.
  • Participants will design experiences to engage children deepening their relationship with scientific concepts.
  • Develop next steps for self-exploration.
Competencies
This training aligns to Colorado's Competencies for Early Childhood Educators and Administrators.

Registration
Participants register and make payment through Boulder Journey School. Upon completion of course, participant data will be forwarded to PDIS with certificate issued through PDIS account.

This course has been recognized as aligned to The Colorado Competencies and meeting best practice standards for adult instruction through the Colorado Shines PDIS Training Alignment Process. The Rules Regulating Child Care Facilities, issued by the Division of Early Care and Learning, Colorado Department of Human Services, take precedence over any course content.
