Overview
Very rarely do we have all the tools and materials we need for the children in our classrooms. In this one hour training, we dive into the world of fundraising and provide easy ways to start approaching those in your community to gain monetary or material donations for your program.  Participants will receive sample materials to start making the ask and learn how to longer fear hearing "no".

Objective
Upon completion, learner will be able to:
  • Identify a fundraising goal or need for their program including cost or material.
  • Identify at least two local community resources they can reach out to for monetary or in-kind support.
  • Articulate their need through a letter request.
Competencies
This training aligns to Colorado's Competencies for Early Childhood Educators and Administrators.

  • Family and Community Partnerships 13.4: Builds systems and strategies that promote the partnership between early childhood programs and community resources.

This course has been recognized as aligned to The Colorado Competencies and meeting best practice standards for adult instruction through the Colorado Shines PDIS Training Alignment Process. The Rules Regulating Child Care Facilities, issued by the Division of Early Care and Learning, Colorado Department of Human Services, take precedence over any course content.
