Formal Education Courses Aligned to the Competencies
Two-year and four-year institutions in Colorado have done extensive work to align their programs and courses to
Colorado's Competencies for Early Childhood Educators and Administrators
. This work results in:
-Comprehensive programs of study where students graduate without significant gaps in knowledge.
-Coordinated programs of study where students experience less overlap and redundancy.
-Flexible programs of study where career changes are easily accommodated.
These courses also earn additional points in the
Early Childhood Professional Credential
. Professionals are eligible for these points starting in fall of 2016 for 2-year institutions and fall of 2017 for 4-year institutions. Click on the institution below to find which courses are aligned to the Competencies.
