This page outlines how to become a trainer for the various face-to-face courses that are available from Colorado Shines and the Office of Early Childhood, including required pre-service training and Colorado Shines Level 2 courses. Follow the instructions below for the course you are interested in teaching.
You must hold a current medical or nursing license (such as a doctor or registered nurse) or be a Credentialed Coach or Approved Trainer to conduct this training. You must also have an existing account in the PDIS. Materials for this department-approved face-to-face training are posted on the PDIS. This training is also posted on the Colorado Shines PDIS as an online training. Request access to these training materials to teach this course.
People who would like to teach Standard Precautions to early childhood programs licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services need to complete the “Standard Precautions Approved Training Vendor Attestation,” which is available here in the Colorado Shines PDIS.
