Pre-service and Orientation Training

Medication Administration

Visit Healthy Child Care Colorado's website to learn about becoming a trainer for Medication Administration.

Preventing Abusive Head Trauma/Shaken Baby Syndrome

You must hold a current medical or nursing license (such as a doctor or registered nurse) or be a Credentialed Coach or Approved Trainer to conduct this training. You must also have an existing account in the PDIS.  Materials for this department-approved face-to-face training are posted on the PDIS. This training is also posted on the PDIS as an online training.

Safe Sleep

Healthy Child Care Colorado periodically offers Infant Safe Sleep Train-the-Trainer events for Child Care Health Consultants and other CDE approved trainers. See their training calendar for scheduled events.

Standard Precautions

People who would like to teach Standard Precautions to early childhood programs licensed by the Colorado Department of Human Services need to complete the “Standard Precautions Approved Training Vendor Attestation,” which is available here in the Colorado Shines PDIS.
